I’ve gone to church basically my whole life, but before I moved to Washington, I went to a church in California and it was a small church and now reflecting back on that time, I didn’t grow much when I was there, whereas here at Experience Church I find myself growing all the time.
The leaders at Experience Church keep pushing you and they do it with great intent. They don’t want to capitalize on us, they want to grow us and better us because they know that we [the youth] are going to be the next generation of leaders, and they’re hoping and they’re praying for us to take up the mantle of influential, spiritual, guides.
I would just encourage anyone out there to come to church if you’re debating whether to come or not; I wouldn’t just tell you or force you to come because I don’t think anyone wants to be told repeatedly to do something or go somewhere, because then it becomes a sort of chore. Instead, I would try to be an example to them, I would keep showing up for them, keep encouraging them to come, and continue to show them the heart of Jesus but, I would never force them to show up.
